On June 6, 2018, a rare Category 3 tornado tore acorss the valley north of Laramie. It was on the ground for 53 minutes, spanned an 11 mile path, and was deemed by The Washington Post as “the most beautiful tornado of the year.” The tornado arrived without rain or hail but with plenty of thunder. As Laramie residents are prone to do, most of us went outside with camera in hand to watch and record the spectacular event. My images were made from my home, approximately 8 miles south of the tornado’s path.
